This April, director Lance Parkin (“Theo and the Professor”) is taking viewers to The Boonies for a weekend getaway gone wrong.
Co-written by Parkin and star Matt Schultz, the film follows Aaron (Matt Schultz, “Theo and the Professor”) and his brother, and a group of his friends for a weekend hiking excursion into the Appalachian woods. Instead of a peaceful weekend getaway, the group soon discovers their itinerary includes more than a traditional outdoor adventure. When they unexpectedly meet a couple who report strange local occurrences, the group soon finds themselves in a terrifying fight for survival.
The horror-thriller also stars James Quinn (Checkmate), Daniel Johnson (Make It Happen), Jess Uhler (Massacre Academy), and Rick Dutrow (Massacre Academy, Rust).
The Boonies will be released on Digital and DVD on April 13, 2021, from Indican Pictures.
